"With Many Forms" by Malaya Tuyay

I am still learning to love the many different experiences I hold, the many memories, the many forms I may take up space in, the many spirits inside me. I am learning that every moment holds many facets and many understanding / experiences. I wish to make more room for this truth in how I hold space with others. To feel, to connect, to grow, to heal, to show up, to speak up.
I grew up in small town Carpinteria and moved out to the Bay Area for college after spending many summers here with my Aunt. I am still learning and hope to build community through creating and listening. I am a multidisciplinary artist that works with printmaking, illustration, paint, textiles, and hopefully soon movement once i feel ready to let go. I am learning how to listen to spirit to mobilize through art and can't wait to meet more folks and see us all shining.
