Darren Koepp "Storm Front" 8x10 Painting
After a rather long hiatus, I began painting again recently, it feels good to have some analog time and connect with various materials and mediums. While a moving target, my work tends to land somewhere between nostalgia and hope. I studied painting at Wake Forest University, The Savannah College of Art and Design and The University of Missouri, the cafeteria approach to education.

The piece I created for is a reminiscence of big thunderstorms in the midwest where I grew up. Anxiety, awe, nostalgia and a reminder that "this too shall pass".
